    We’re really proud to once again partner with Morrisons and bring back ‘Ask for Ellen’ to help support families through the holidays. ​

    All you need to do is ‘Ask for Ellen’ at any Morrisons’ café between 5th and 25th August and you will receive two standard crumpets with a choice of 6 toppings, for free, no questions asked. This summer we have added five additional tasty toppings alongside the normal jam and butter, including marmalade, honey, banana, chocolate spread and maple-flavoured syrup. 

    This summer the offer is available from 5th to 25th August, and is available to everyone, all day, every day.

    To redeem this offer simply ask for ‘Ellen’ at the till point at any UK Morrisons Cafe to receive 2 x Warburtons standard crumpets with a choice of 6 toppings, during Morrisons Cafe opening hours, while stocks last and subject to availability. Vegan spread available on request. Other alternative toppings are not available. Limit of 1 portion per customer per day. Offer is not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

    Supporting families is as important to us today as it was to our founder, Ellen Warburton, when she first started baking back in 1876. Ellen’s first batch of four loaves of bread and six cakes sold out in under an hour. Within two weeks, the tiny shop in Bolton was renamed ‘Warburtons the Bakers’ and continued to go from strength to strength ever since.

    All those years on and Warburtons is now the largest bakery business in the country but still remains a private family-owned business, actively managed by the fifth generation, Jonathan, Ross and Brett.

We launched the Warburtons Foundation in 2022 as a way to group together all of our community activities and set clear goals for what we want to achieve in our communities. The foundation aims to support schools and community organisations with product donations, educational resources and financial grants.

    The winner of our first Ask for Ellen colouring competition, Jodie, designed this amazing outfit for Crumpy and is over the moon with her prize! We loved it so much, we had it created into an official Crumpy design, check it out! With almost 1000 entries to the colouring competition, this is a fantastic achievement!
