supporting young people
At Warburtons, our values are at the heart of everything we do. Working alongside teachers and experts, we’re creating quality classroom experiences that share these values with the next generation. Our curriculum-linked resources celebrate family and community, develop skills and ambition, empower children to take shared responsibility for their health and wellbeing and encourage young people to care for themselves and others.
Our Rise to Success: Careers Card Game has been created to help 11–16-year-old students explore a wide range of careers in the food industry in an engaging, informal way. Through the interactive card game, students will explore over 25 roles, link their skillset with job roles and appreciate how a mixture of qualifications, skills and interests can be a recipe for success!
Our new Farm to Food module has been designed to spark conversations in your classroom about where food comes from. Pupils will discover the process of how their food is grown, produced and processed before it arrives on their plate, while making connections to their daily lives using these interactive resources. Designed for pupils aged between 4-7 or 7-11, these resources have been adapted from The Country Trust’s Discover Warburtons Wheat Farm in a Box programme, so that teachers can deliver the learning without the need for the physical box. Discover more about The Country Trust and their resources here.
The Eatwell Lunchbox module has been created to help 7 to 11-year-olds appreciate the important role nutrition and food plays in their life. In the lesson, pupils identify how bread can be combined with other foods to create a balanced diet. They are invited to investigate the appearance, texture, taste of bread before creating their own original healthy lunch box containing all the nutrients a human body needs for a day of activity.
Our World of Bread module has been created to help 5–7-year-olds with science, geography, health, and wellbeing. These classroom resources include a custom-made interactive map of the world, that uses facts and storytelling to teach and inspire children.
Our Grain to Plate module has been created to support 7 to 11-year-olds with science, geography, health, and wellbeing. Our Mix of Skills module has been created to help 11-14-year-olds develop their career understanding and employability skills. It supports the Gatsby Career Benchmarks and is linked to the Design and Technology curriculum.
